Operating in hostile environments

When clients are operating in violent and dangerous environments we establish ‘deep perimeters’ around their people and operations, combining local intelligence and knowledge, low profile security, skill sharing with our clients’ personnel, and integration of experienced security managers. Where violent crime, terrorism and conflict are frequent challenges, effective security management is critical. Integrating security with business process is particularly important in order to ensure that security acts as an enabler for the work to be done.

In assisting clients to operate in some of the world’s most dangerous environments we provide:

  • The capability to operate ‘outside the wire’, entering high risk areas in order to complete work programmes safely and effectively
  • Assessment of changing threat conditions and political risks, and development of local intelligence networks
  • Pre-deployment and security awareness training to ensure that the client's personnel are fully prepared



A US client wanted to set up a business operation in Karachi, Pakistan. Janusian provided an ex-UK Special Forces security manager, a secure residence and locally recruited security team to allow the client to operate safely outside of the main business hotels, which had previously been targeted by Islamist terrorists.
