The Risk Advisory Group is an acknowledged leader in risk management. We specialise in providing strategic analysis, advisory services and operational support to a wide range of private and public sector organisations. In the last 10 years we have conducted assignments in more than 100 countries.

The Risk Advisory Group invites applications for new Research Associate positions within our Business Intelligence practice based in our Rotterdam offices. The main focus of the work of these practices is helping clients identify, understand and mitigate the risks involved in entering new business relationships, and understanding political and competitive dynamics in new or existing markets. High quality investigative research and analysis, covering many industry sectors and a wide range of countries, is a key constituent of such work.

Successful candidates will have an excellent academic record and are likely to have had some experience of practicing research in a commercial context. They will be expected to be inquiring and tenacious in the execution of investigative research, and, as their skills and experience develop further, to be innovative in the development of new research techniques and resources.

The positions require fluent Dutch language skills and excellent written English together with German language abilities.

Amit Chanda is a senior associate within the business intelligence practice of The Risk Advisory Group, having joined the company in January 2006. He previously worked as senior Asia analyst within the country intelligence group at Global Insight. Prior to that he was a management associate at Citigroup. He received his masters degree from the London School of Economics and a bachelors degree from Princeton University. He has lived and worked in Hong Kong, Japan, India and the United States.
