Research Associate, Middle East and North Africa, London office

Research Associates help clients identify, understand and mitigate the risks involved in entering new business relationships, and understand political, security and competitive environments in new or existing markets in the Middle East or North Africa (MENA). As part of their role, the successful candidate will also be required to monitor political developments and international relations in the MENA region.

Applicants must have native Arabic language skills and excellent written English, be educated to degree level at a minimum, and have a sophisticated understanding of Middle Eastern political affairs. Some experience of carrying out research in a commercial context would be a distinct advantage.

Veronica Echeverri is an associate within the business intelligence practice of The Risk Advisory Group. Before joing The Risk Advisory Group she worked at Tufts University doing research on Latin American politics and teaching a course on the history of Colombian violence. Previously she worked at the United Nations Development Programme as a consultant on justice reform in Latin America. Veronica holds a masters degree in international affairs from Columbia University in New York and a law degree with a minor in history from Los Andes University in Bogota.
