Research Associate, South Asia, London office

The Risk Advisory Group invites applications for a new Research Associate position in the Business Intelligence practice. The main focus of this role is helping clients identify, understand and mitigate the risks involved in entering new business relationships in a South Asian context, and understanding the political and competitive dynamics at play, particularly in Indian and Pakistani markets. High quality investigative research and analysis, covering many industry sectors, is a key constituent of such work.

The successful candidate will have an excellent academic record and is likely to have had some experience of practising research in a commercial context. They will be expected to be inquiring and tenacious in the execution of investigative research, and, as their skills and experience develop further, to be innovative in the development of new electronic and human intelligence resources.

The position requires excellent spoken and written English. Priority will be given to applicants with strong knowledge and/or experience of the South Asian business environment.

Veronica Echeverri is an associate within the business intelligence practice of The Risk Advisory Group. Before joing The Risk Advisory Group she worked at Tufts University doing research on Latin American politics and teaching a course on the history of Colombian violence. Previously she worked at the United Nations Development Programme as a consultant on justice reform in Latin America. Veronica holds a masters degree in international affairs from Columbia University in New York and a law degree with a minor in history from Los Andes University in Bogota.
