Philip Keevil, Non-Executive Chairman
Philip is a senior partner with the merchant banking partnership Compass Advisers. He has more than 30 years’ experience in international investment banking, and is a member of the Business Advisory Forum of Oxford’s Saïd Business School and of the Advisory Council of the London Symphony Orchestra. In addition, he is a Freeman of the City of London, a liveryman of the International Bankers’ Company, and a past Master of the Poulters Company. He is also a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.
Oleg heads the Group’s Russia, Eastern Europe and Eurasia practice. He is a regular commentator at conferences and in the media on politics and business in Russia and the former Soviet Union. He was a founder of the Group.
David was a founding member of our Security Intelligence and Analysis practice in 2001. He was head of this practice until 2012 when he was appointed Chief Information Officer for the company. He is a specialist in terrorism and was involved in the establishment of the Centre for the Study of Terrorism and Political Violence at the University of St Andrews. He is the author of numerous papers, essays and articles on international security.
Richard Prior, Deputy Group Chief Executive Officer
Richard was a founder of Risk Advisory. Until 1999 he headed the company’s Moscow office. He formerly worked in the international energy industry.
Henry joined Risk Advisory in 1998, shortly after its establishment. He joined the then Business Intelligence practice, and became head of it in 2004. He became Chief Operating Officer Business Intelligence in 2012. Prior to joining Risk Advisory he was a civil servant in the UK Ministry of Defence.
Chris is head of the Washington DC office of Risk Advisory. He joined the Group in 2003 and worked at the headquarters office in London before relocating to the USA in 2010. He has particular expertise in Latin America and is a Spanish speaker.
Bill Waite, Group Chief Executive Officer
Bill trained as a barrister and practised at the criminal bar of England and Wales. He later joined the UK’s Serious Fraud Office as a prosecuting counsel before moving into the private investigation and fraud advisory sector in 1995. He was a founder of Risk Advisory and is a sought-after commentator on anti-corruption legislation and enforcement.
Gary founded our Security Operations practice in 2001. He was formerly in the British Army and served for some years in UK Special Forces. He is the head of the Group’s Dubai office, oversees our global security operations and manages our joint venture company in Saudi Arabia.
Geraldine Davies, Non-Executive Director
Geraldine spent 16 years in senior communications roles, including director of corporate communications for Lloyds TSB Group and director of corporate relations at Prudential plc, where she was a member of the group executive committee. In 2005 she joined the executive search profession as a partner at Whitehead Mann and moved on to The Willis Partnership in 2007. At the beginning of 2010 she joined Ellwood Atfield to lead the senior corporate communications practice, later becoming chairman of the company.
Leslie Ferrar, Non-Executive Director
Leslie started her career with KPMG where she qualified as a Chartered Accountant and went on to become partner, a position she held for 17 years. She subsequently went on to be the treasurer for TRH The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall for seven years. Leslie is an internationally experienced business leader in both the private and public sectors at board level and is currently a non-executive director of a number of organisations including Penna Consulting plc, CAFOD and Breakthrough Breast Cancer as well as a non-executive member of HMRC’s Audit Committee.
John Smith, Non-Executive Director
John has worked in commercial security and risk since 1978. Most recently he was Director Group Resilience at Prudential where he spent 20 years building the function. He is a former President of the International Security Management Association, an alumnus of the US State Department’s Overseas Security Advisory Council, an Emeritus Member and former Chairman of the Risk and Security Management Forum and a founding Fellow of the Security Institute.
